In Consortium with Palawan State University-Puerto Princesa City, Palawan, Philippines

Corinthian Naturopathic College, California, USA, entered into a  Memorandum of Agreement with Palawan State University on May 7, 2012, at the Office of the President of PSU.  Dr. Jeter S. Sepene, President of Palawan State University and Dr. Willie M. Manipol, President of Corinthian Naturopathic College, respectively signed the agreement, together with their Vice Presidents. Looking on were the Dean of School of Nursing and Dean of the School of Midwifery. Twenty-three Faculty members of the School of Nursing are presently enrolled in the Doctor of Naturopathy program of Corinthian Naturopathic College (CNC) They are now on their third year/final semester of the said program. Senator Miriam Defensor Santiago had introduced Senate Bill 2173 in the year 2008 and Senate Bill 1460 in the year 2010 for the purpose of regulating and professionalizing the practice of Doctor of Naturopathy (N.D.) and Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine (N.M.D.) in the Philippines. During those years, there were no schools offering a degree program in Naturopathy and Naturopathic Medicine, although, there were some schools who conduct seminars and short courses for that purpose. Whenever this bill materializes, Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) will conduct the licensure or board examination for Doctor of Naturopathy and Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine.

Palawan State University was said to be the first in the nation to offer a degree in Petroleum Engineering, and, is also eyeing to be another first in the nation to offer a professional degree in Doctor of Naturopathy/Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine. Alternative or Complementary medicine is a fast growing modality in the health care delivery system. Some sources say that by 2020, World Health Organization hopes to see that every member nation's health care institution could at least include a natural health care facility in their hospitals.
Corinthian Naturopathic College, duly registered and INCORPORATED as an academic / educational institution under the laws of the State of North Carolina, U.S.A. and accredited by American Alternative Medical Association (A.A.M.A.) and American Association of Drugless Practitioners (A.A.D.P.) in the U.S.A. went into academic consortium with the Palawan State University in the Philippines to offer the program Doctor of Naturopathy/Ph.D. in Naturopathic Health since May of 2012. Corinthian Naturopathic College is currently assisting its graduates finish some of their administrative requirements. Also, Corinthian Naturopathic College is presently very much involved in the establishment of Palawan State University’s School of Medicine as well as the creation of a medical program which is a blend of Allopathy (Western Medicine) and Naturopathy, which later on is expected to become the home of the Doctor of Naturopathy/Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine program to be jointly managed by Palawan State University and Corinthian Naturopathic College. In this connection, Corinthian Naturopathic Group, Inc. (in the Philippines) was created/duly registered and incorporated by the Philippine government through the Securities and Exchange Commission purposely to be in consortium with Corinthian Naturopathic College (C.N.C.), USA to assist C.N.C. in the implementation of its doctoral program in Palawan State University and at the same time serve as its Regional Corporate Management & Logistics Center in Asia and the Pacific region.

Given the new role of Corinthian Naturopathic College in its relationship with Palawan State University, (i.e. establishment of School of Medicine and the creation of a new Naturopathic program – blended or pure Naturopathic in its orientation), it would be more relevant and strategic to redefine the role of Corinthian Naturopathic Group, Inc. (C.N.G.,Inc.) such as to have it as C.N.C.’s Information and Coordinating Office in Asia and the Pacific region (through its current location in Pasig City, Metro Manila, Philippines) so that CNG, Inc. can look at helping CNC expand and penetrate desired territories in Asia and the Pacific region while C.N.C.,in the meantime, remains its focus with Palawan State University. In that way, expansion ofterritory in the region becomes much easier to handle and more strategic to pursue as a goal for 2016 – 2020.
